*You claim to be from either Richmond or Williamsburg, depending on which side of the county you live on.

**You find yourself explain to other Non-New Kenters what a primary school is used for.

*You know everyone from your graduating class.

*You wait for the song after revealing what the high school mascot was.

*If you want to do anything on the weekends, chances are you didn't stay in the county.

*There are no backroads to get places, mainly because everything IS a backroad.

*If someone you know lives in either The Colonies or Five Lakes they have money.

*The Davis' and the Howards pretty much own the county.

*Dirty Pool Road.

*You can count the number of traffic lights on one hand.

*It's one of the select counties around with only ONE high school.

*When you tell people where you're from, their first response is: "Oh, how far away from Colonial Downs do you live?"

*Before you told them, people have never before known that McDonald's Express existed.

*Ed Allen is a god.

*He also probably taught you to drive. Unless you got stuck with Ms. Hudson, at which point (unless you ran cross-country or track), you groaned.

*You remember when it used to be New Kent Elementary School.

*You know what they mean by the "houses" in the primary school.

*Bonfires and beer.

*You've come to school in your camo after hunting in the morning.

*Deer are about as common as dogs.

*You don't get nervous when you see a cop car, because you probably already know them.

*To get anywhere, you HAVE to go down 249 at some point.

*You remember when Bud's Grocery existed.

*You probably own a tractor.

*90% of you class went to either: UVA, TECH, JMU, or VCU.

*You know that after you've graduated, gone to college, and gotten married, you'll probably wind up back here.

*You brag because well, Martha and George Washington got married here.
